Bros, sup?
I'm extremely honored to announce the latest project that was put together on behalf of Red Bull New Zealand and one of the best people wakeskating could have in its corner, Ivan Mennim. It's called The Human Trailers project, and it's the latest wakeskate event they've put together for a few of our waterdancing yanks. All of the info was received last night, so here's what I've synthesized (nerd alert!):

Once again, it sounds like it's going to be another amazing event...and I'm crossing my fingers that another DVD will come out of it.

Lord of the Rings meets Red Bull Adrift........with Danny Hampson as Froto...haha just kidding.
That trip I ....I....need to go.....I need a genie. Those guys are going to have a blast.....except when those florida ladies hit thta cold water on the south island
I wouldn't worry esnow ....with all the diff stuff they will encounter.........it might be a double disc.

raven, you're so right! He mentioned that the air temps were warm there, but the water was a bit cool, especially by the standards of a floridian. It should be interesting.
I mentioned this to someone else, but I just think it's really cool that there are riders...these guys especially, who have put in their time since the beginning and can now take part in "serious" trips that are not only super productive and will leave their mark on wakeskating forever, but that they can also be treated so well in the process. Again, I think it's especially cool that brian and thomas get to take part in this stuff, considering they were kind of predicting it about five years ago. Red Bull is fourstar...
Also, jim and DVS kicked up the class by making another limited edition wakeskate shoe for the crew. I'm not sure on the model, but it has the human trailers logo on the tongue. There's just some very cool support all around.
and thanks, skate force...(here we go!!!!=>)
Here's a picture I didn't use in the article because I didn't know *exactly* what to say.

what a great payoff for those guys that have been making it happen from the start. they must feel on top of the world I can't imagine what we will see from this trip, too bad JStevens and his camera weren't going to be along.
And the shoes, how sick is that? Is Grubb going to be the odd man out on that?

I'm not sure how they select their crew of riders/participants, but if I had to guess, I'd say it'd have to do with with some sort of DVS connection (because he is the wake team manager) and the fact that they're also capping off the filming of NARLA down there.
Jim's a character and a great guy, and I think it's especially great for the DVS team that he's in the position that he's in, because he really seems to take care of them well, and he's a rider himself...and again, the opportunity is a good one and I'm psyched that they all get the chance to take part in this project. Everyone has their own opinions--that's how it works with all of these things--but I totally dig everyone who's apart of this trip. since I'm a sentimental sap...it's like the boys can reunite for some more riding. (like the class of 03. What!)

| I think his Initials are SW and I'd love to see what he could do on a wakeskate after a month of riding.
