i think it's sick!! but SOOO disrespectful to do. if that's a real vid then that dynomite has the potential to crack foundations of structures nearby, and kill all the marine life in the water there.
AND DON'T FORGET THAT WITH THE SURFER BEING THAT CLOSE TO THE EXPLOSION THE UNDERWATER CONCUSSION WOULD'VE CRUSHED HIS RIBS AND POSSIBLY KILLED HIM
having said all that.... i would love to try it somewhere that it wouldn't damage the surrounding environment |

| liquidstunts, Do the explosions really move enough water for the peak to break like that? |

strplss since 1983, it worked there because it wasn't in open water.... and also you gotta take into account how waves work... (when the ground gets shallower the waves are pushed up forming the waves that we surf...) so yes, the explosion can cause the wave to peak and break like that.
dynamite surfing is completely plausible..... but like i said, the concussion of the explosion would be enough to crush lungs, (if the surfer was floating neck deep)
anything that displaces a large amount of water can cause surfable waves... (land slides, dynamite, avalanche, LARGE SHIPS, earthquakes, volcanoes....)
if you ever get the chance to go surf "super tankers" DO IT it's sick. |
