Need help fixing a crack...

I just got this new skate and it has a dent on one end that cracked a little. I got it brand new for $90 (was supposed to be an 05 and they sent an 06) so I'm not worried about doing a little work on it to fix it up.
What would the best way to deal with this be? My first thought was to just superglue it, but I figured I'd check with some of you first.
The skate is a HL Karma 111. I attached a pic with a couple shots of the damage, plus the price tag that was on it cause I thought that was funny (seriously, did the Karma's ever sell for $500?!?).

you payed 90.00 for that man, that is unfortunate. make sure that you fill it with some marine apoxy really really really good. cause that sucka is going to fill with water on one side and become really off balance. it happened to a board that i road and its akward as hell. so maybe try and send it in to hyperlite for waranty otherwise im not sure man. good luck.

P.S. no karma was ever 500.00 smackers

skatefilly, didn't think about that part of it. I'll have to really make sure it stays water tight.

Nope, I've seen a few hypes for $450 -$500. The Bi-levels were even worse about $550 and of coarse they didn't last very long.

RUSSIAN, ordered it from www.uswakesupply.com a few weeks ago. They had all the 05 HL stuff at 65% off and thats what I ordered. They sent me an 06 instead. I checked to see if they had any left the day I got it and saw the crack, but they were out so I'd rather keep the board and fix it then just get my $90 back if I returned it.

Here's what I would do...tape up the area around the crack on both sides of the board with masking tape, then get some clear marine glue or epoxy (100% water proof glue or epoxy). Apply a lot of glue/epoxy around and in the crack as much as you can. Next get 2 peices of wood and a nice big C clamp...a good metal one...none of that crap quick clamp plastic shizzle...put a piece of wood on either side of the board on both sides of the cracked area and clamp them together as tight as you can get it. Let it sit for a few days (or as long as it says for the glue to dry). Then take the clamp off, sand off the excess glue and put a few coats of marine varnish over the area. If you're careful and use clear glue/epoxy/varnish...it'll look just like new.

I have an 04' hype catalyst which I ran into a steel dock and a similar thing happened...although I put a much bigger dent/crack in mine. However I was able to use the above method to fix it and it came out really well...you can only notice that I damaged it if you know where to look and look at it really closely.

And that price is quite high...I think the local boardshop here was selling them for $429 or something...but not $499.

ZoSo, Thanks for the directions. Won't the pieces of wood stick to the skate though? Or am I misunderstanding something?

skatefilly, I know it sucks to get something that is damaged, but when I think about the deal I got I'm not too worried about it. The next cheapest one I could find on the internet was around $160 and most were at $180 or more. Considering that, if someone put a post in the classifieds saying they had a brand new 06 Karma for $95/shipped and it just has a small crack that needs to be filled with epoxy, I would have jumped all over that too.

ZoSo, ok, just making sure before I glued 2 pieces of wood to my board!
Any reccommended brands of Epoxy that I should use?

I actually used waterproof glue...it was polyurethane based glue I think...I've got some sitting in my garage I can check tomorrow. Although epoxy would work, I think glue would work better simply because it's easier to work with and easier to get in the crack.
