| Personally I would stay away from obrien as well as hyperlite. Are you thinking about a composite or wood board? |

| Hyperlites composites are not light any more. and their the catalyst and byerly are pretty good, most people just hate on them cause everyone else on this site does. If your looking for a skate, don't waste your money on an obrien... the omens look sick though... |

Check out Oak, Sattelyte, or Level13. Of these I've only ridden Oak boards (Artificial Heart & Gege), but all are wood and will probably have the weight you are lookin for in a board. _________________

-LoGiK-, perhaps I worded that wrong, I personally don't like the way hyperlite skates ride, I've ridden a byerly and a catalyst and didn't care for the way they rode compared to other boards.
So I shouldn't say to stay away from it, just not my cup of tea.
And there's plenty lesser known rider owned companies that need support but thats another topic. |

I think thats fairly obvious, I don't think many people buy boards that they don't like just because the company that makes them is a roc.

As you can see I do ride what I like and I don't like hyperlite. I do like cassette, oak and integrity which is coincidentally what I like to ride. |

I would reccomend a verge deck the store will be up soon. i got mine 2 weeks ago and its the best flat deck out there imo. it pops more than any board ive ridden, including 5 stage and concave. ( I shlt u not about the pop, its good). durable, ive hit alot of rails. just look around there is so many good/different boards its hard to make a bad choice. _________________ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved.
