HOLLAH!!!
Just wait until the Dems win the Senate Majority. keep them fingers crossed for that one. The world will then be run by smart people again!!
hahahaha.... Here is how America works: Republicans ruin things; Democrate then have to come in and fix it..... Simple but true.
Oh god....I know that people are going to get pissed off with the above generalization, but whatever!
I will be drunk again tonight -- that is for sure!!!

jonnyUTAH, i AGREE with part of your post, But in all honesty I think its going to take something MUCH greater then democrats taking over, Now thats not to say that I dont think this is a HUGE step in the right Direction.... I do however think that the Republican party is Neccesary, and to go along with your theory about how republicans ruin things and Democrates fix them, We'll it kinda goes along the same lines as "sometimes a affair can make a marriage stronger" kinda thing know what i meen....
Vote Libertarian and get some real Flavor in there.
In all seriouse-ness im so relieved that he stepped down and now our Goverment has a chance at getting back to where we need to be....
This morning every republican I know was saying..."its not like anythings going to change overnight." and then WHAM!!!!!! bye bye Don.....
Donald, youve done a Great job at striking fear into the Hearts of Americans, Youve succeded at Making NO ONE feel safe in there own home's, Youve ruined the lifes of Family from Iraq to Baton Rouge and now i tell you this, You can kiss my a$$ you Rotten Mother Fvcker..... I wish the best for you, The only LIght i see in your Future is that Somehow God who is Greater then I can Forgive...... Dont expect anyone else to................ _________________

Asked whether his announcement signaled a new direction in the war that has claimed the lives of more than 2,800 U.S. troops, Bush said, "Well, there's certainly going to be new leadership at the Pentagon."-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Bill Nye the Science Guy we didn't knwo that. _________________

The political game in the US has just totally changed.
Democrats won the Montana Senate Seat (Senate= 50 Dems, 49 Republicans) Virginia race is still being counted, but Democrat candidate is 8,000 votes ahead with 99% precincts reporting.
It appears likely both the House and Senate will be delivered to the Dems. _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

How are you Democrats any better than them Republicans? What do you plan on changing now that you have power? You gonna pull us from the Middle East? Cure AIDS? Recreate the '03 4trac? It'll be interesting to see how much actually changes in the next year.
And after you answer that, feel free to explain why it took Arnold, a lowly Republican, to drag us Californians out of the hole that the Godly Democrat Grey Davis sunk us so far into.
You Democrats are as scummy as the Republicans are. You guys bask in the glory of knowing that you have newfound power...but at the same time remember that people voted for change, not necessarily for the Dems. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

That and the fact that Arnold is a Republican that is Pro Choice, Pro Stem Cell research, and PRo Middle Class. In my book that Republican is a democrat. And in all Honesty he's a very good Governer for you little state. And you do Realize that Arnold got 20% of all the DEMOCRATIC votes in California right ? _________________

wow, that's a pretty uninformed post...
Democrats aren't necessarily better than Republicans, just the ones that were in power and the ones that have put us in this hole we now have to try and climb out of. I don't even have children, and I'm scared for their future. Who is going to flip the money for the doubled defecit that was created under the rebublicans wing? and like I said, not every Republican is bad, just a lot... If you want to get deeper, then you (or we) can start pointing fingers and singling out the bad republicans, starting from the top to the bottom, president bush. It all stems from him... AND I'm sure a lot of things WILL change next yer. WHY? because congress might actually thank us for electing them into power by actually listening to the nation for one & not the little bad guy on their left shoulder. PLUS, they are going to have to start changing the nation because if they don't, we won't put up with it, we'll just recall them (haha!) or vote for ANYBODY else the next time. I'm sure things will change, look at who stepped down today, because he knew they would be coming after him as soon as they get situated. (wasn't it just last week that Bush said his cabinet would be staying throughout the rest of the term?)
In regards to California... We're not out of that hole yet. Although we're on our way out, anyone other than davis could have pushed us in the right direction, somewhat. Hell, I could have done a better job than him. Davis is one of those people just like bush, they originally run on great issues & seem like they've got their head on straight, but as time goes on, you realize they really don't know anything, and are borderline retarded. I give credit to the population for finally standing up. They're the ones that deserve a lot of the credit for the turn-around. The same goes with Democrats, they're not all great either. Davis was a great example of that. But if you know anything about this state, it has been a Democratic election for years and years. The year that davis was re-elected, there were hardly any canidates that were better options. PLUS, most of this state sat on their asses durring voting day. Most of the non voters were relying on the ones that did, to fix the problem, which they didn't. As soon as someone mentioned the word recall & people actually understood they could do something, they did. This goes back to the theme of this thread. We were ready for a change & it didn't matter who it was, we just wanted him out. Every single canidate was a joke on that next ballot & I feel as though we elected the terminator as a slap in the face to davis, and a slap in the face of the system. Thats also the only reason we voted democratic, as a slap in the face of the system & a statement of "we're not going to take it anymore". the other parties (libertarian, green, independant, etc...) are still way too small for the masses to vote them into power. Unfortunately, it's going to take the Dems to really mess it up, just as much as the Republicans, for the nation to understand that it's not always just an A or B election.
The Democrats are basking in the glory of knowing they are going to make a difference, because they have to. They're not sore winners, just eager to make a difference. |

| yeah, maybe you're right, not necessarily uninformed, seeing that your last sentence was quite profound. I retract my statement (uninformed) and replace it with "prematurely harsh" haha... Atleast we're all arguing about something that matters... |
