yeah wc, I'm pretty sure I saw that thread. and I'm not saying it can't work or anything, because I think of the old fiberglass skateboards and how those were flexy. But when I think of compression molding...it should be interesting But I have no idea what their board looks like or anything, and as a bi-level fan, I'm totally curious. I just want to see it and understand it.

labelletrasher, this two decks hold thanks to screws and washers that's it!
For me the differences between a cassette' bi and any other composite top deck bi are :
- the weight, if you choose a good composite it should be lighter and have more resistance and flex than wood
- the trucks, the fiber glass is so flex that you don't even need it to add flexibility (once again you don't add useless weight), and you'll still have a good reactivity
That's why I believe composite top deck is the futur for bi...but i can be wrong. Wink

that LF bi isnt like other companies, the center section is all held together, the only seperated or "bi-level" part is the ends. their concept is actually really good, and if it holds together it should be a pretty good skate.

all of LF's skates will be so much stronger this year. as long as they are made like the prototypes, they wont even compare to the last couple of years as far as durability goes.

pirate, PS Stix makes skateboards for a large number of skate companies, rather than for just one company. It happens in every industry...

anybody who went to expo: did the LF pro decks feel really heavy to anyone else? the thought crossed my mind that it was just because they were samples, but it made me begin to reconsider getting one...

i rode the 40" (danny hampson) and 41" (phillip basino) and the weight felt perfect to me, but i prefer a heavier board.

NaRC-P rider, for a 40.5" composite the doyle has a pretty decent weight to it, it might be a little lighter than the hype boards (i rode a byerly before the doyle), but its good for what it is. i needed a board that would last a while hitting rails everyday, and i got hooked up with that doyle, so ive been riding it. i'd rather ride a heavier board, and i'd really like to get back on a wood skate, so i hope the LF's hurry up and get finished.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it gains a bit of weight given Reed's desire for a heavier skate and a beefed up construction....
