| Yay! Another Bi-level question! Hope you all are excited. Well, as you all know it's getting close to Christmas time, and well, on the top of my list reads 'Bi-Level'. Now granted they have been known to break in the past, but Im wondering for all of those who purchased the 2006 Bi-levels, how are they holding up for you? |

I have one, but I'm not riding it. I rode labellethrashers and it was perfect. He'd be a better person to speak with. I know he's still on the same bottom deck after three months straight (riding daily, literally). He did go through a couple of top decks, one of which I witnessed. All in all, the 06 boards are really nice because they have some sort of coating over that wood...it's like thin plastic, I don't really know exactly what it is.
And out of the remaining 05s that the boardstop sold, they only had issues with two of them.
But yeah, if you want to know about the 06s, talk with labellethrasher. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

06 Cassettes are holding up well from what people have said...except the bottoms are 05s and the new graphic peals off right quickly. Maybe look at the Devotid union tho they're bi-levels and they hold up very well.
Shop around theres a few companies making Bi-levels now.

JB canskate, that was a deal through the boardstop from a few months ago. They have just received something like 10 "true" 2006 42 inch bi-levels. So if you end up buying a board from the boardstop (as an example, because I don't know of anyone else who has the new cassettes yet) you'll get an 06 bottom and an 06 top. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

pyroskater00 I would get one if I were you. I'm telling you, once you are out on one there is no going back. Have you ridden a bi-level, just not an 06? or are you just thinking about getting one? Either way, I know you'll fckn love it and you'll get so consistant, I promise you that. And switch tricks, I learned so many on my bi, I can land them now on my fourtrac too but the bi gave me so much more confidence and consistancy. I know it will last too, really you should just take it easy on your deck the first day or two, you gotta break these suckas in. Riding a new bi level is crazy. And you don't want to send your deck into the water the wrong way when it's so crisp. Once you break one in you don't have to worry about it snappin.
And...like electricsnow said, they are stronger this year and keep their pop and crispness so long. If I were you, when you get this skate, if it's really choppy, just take out one of your old decks. Choppy, windy days have a way of taking your bi level out from under you as if it were a fckn sail and that can be bad news for a crisp bi top if it hits the water in the right/wrong way. Just put together some butter runs full of soul carving and tricks you know you would never fall on 9 outta 10. But anyway, I love my deck and would never want to skate anything else.
except for my fourtrac, still love that too. |
