ridehatzic, Exactly. i may be going too deep with my proceeding comment so dont take it into cnsideration at all but does anyone think that maybe danny knew he could do this (the 1080) and knew that somethin was goin down at hyperlite and that the obriens were about to start somethin else? (i kinda gathered that info from his interview on the Ronix website so dont take it too seriously either, its not fact). so he held it back till he did get on Ronix so Hyperlite wouldn't get the recognition but it would give Ronix a GREAT start? i mean it may be too deep, too thought over, and totally untrue/fiction..but think about it..wouldnt that be an awesome move on Danny's part? Like ridehatzic said. all the kids now are gonna be like

RC thats actually not that far-fetched. Hell, if my friends where starting a new board company and i knew that i could pull of a 1080 if i really really tried id do it with my friends new board. Ef yah i would

will someone explain this RONIX thing, i know it is a branch off hyperlite. But i don't really know what it is.......

deltarider500, its not a branch of hyperlite....its the old owners or something like that starting a new company that is going to try and progress the sprot not just sell shizzle and get money like hype

the old owners of hyperlite, herb [creator of obrien waterskis/wakeboards and hyperlite wake mfg.] and paul obrien and a bunch of very awesome and loyal friends created a new wakeboard company called ronix and a waterski company and distribution company called spuare one [i know for sure its distribution but i dunno about skis] they work out of a really slick garage on radar. like big_dee45 said they are in it to bring the sport to new levels and not to make money, and they have the big names from hyperlite on the team now, danny, chad, parks and now adam errington. thats pretty much what I know about all this right now

Somethin was goin down at hype that none of em liked. noones really said what but u can pick that up from the interview Danny gave on Ronixwake.com. so they left and created Ronix, gave hyperlite to new ownership. Ronix is rider owned and operated. Basically what theyre gonna try to do is make the best top of the line boards with the best top of the line graphics and jus the best all around boards. They qont be making skis and it may/will be awhile before they start producing wakeskates (if they ever do). And like big_dee45 said, theyre not here to make money but to progress the sport as much as possible. Counterfeit This was Hyperlites last bang. Now Ronix is trying to move in and take the wake industry, not for profit, but progression. They're just trying to get back to the core.

yah, 1999 on a Free Motion wakeboard. He was 16 (i think?) He was ridin the FM board with some hyperlite bindings and FM got mad cause he wasnt ridin their binidings when he landed it so he left them and got picked up by Hype. Now hes with ronix. I cant wait to see the specs on his new board whenever his knees is good enough for him to ride and shape a new one.
