you should hit up ups about insurance issues. you might get it paid for, and they will tell you to throw it away. |

I have the option of returning the board and getting a replacement in god knows how long or fixing it up and getting a partial refund. Ed is talking like 50 bucks or so which would make the board 150. Then i would just repair it myself. What do you guys think? _________________

| use epoxy it will seal and hold up better. I just rode my boyz 40 bi it is sick and it rides crazy. major pop and nice and heavy. itz my first time riding a bi and won't be the last. i just wish you can slide with it instead of the screws digging into my rails. maybe the union is the better option for sliding with the recess in the bottom screw holes. anyway it is off the chain. |

So i took my bi-level out today. Heres what happened and heres what i think. First aligning the boards to the metal seperator was a b*tch. I had to play with it for a while to get the screws lined up. Whatever, no big deal.
So i take it out to the lake and on my first run which consists of maybe 15 seconds the whole graphic on the bottom is gone. All thats left is the 2005 graphic. It's not a big deal but i just think the quality of this board needs to be kicked up a notch. Im sorta disappointed. I would post a picture but we all know what it looks like.
For the good news..i really enjoyed the bi-level and will probably never go back to a normal board.
Has anyone else experienced these problems with their 06 cassette? _________________

LKNboarder7982, If you stripped the metal spacers, you'll have to rethread the holes. The best way to avoid stripping threads is to turn the screw in reverse until you you hear it pop into the threads. Then, tighten the screw. But, yeah, if your spacers are stripped, don't try and force the screw in. It'll just get worse. Take the spacer and screws to a hardware store and tell them you need to rethread it. They'll know what you need. _________________ www.devotid.com |

LKNboarder7982, you'll probably have to re-tap (aka, rethread) the hole. You'll need a tap with the right thread size. Taps are really freaking expensive though, especially for your one time use... It might even be cheaper to go into a machine shop and get them to tap the hole, rather than you buying the tap, tap handle and tap oil. _________________ www.sattelyte.com

i don't really know, most hardware stores I know of just sell the tools, they don't open them up and use them for one little job and then put them back in the wrapper. I guess you can always check though _________________ www.sattelyte.com
