Just wanting to see what kind of intrest everyone out there would have in being able to get your own custom skates. You pick the length, width, tail and nose width, rocker, rail shapes, amount of concave. and amount of kick in the tail and nose. Pretty much everything to your own specs. All of the boards would be made with the best woods( with fiberglass between layers for added stiffness and durability) and hand shaped right here in good ol' South Florida. Let me know what you think.

So basically if the board ends up sucking because there were no test models... you lose your money? ... I don't see this idea happening... too many complications and you will lose way too much money.

Just because they're custom that doesn't mean there is no testing done. We've already built quite a few boards all with different dimensions (some with subtle changes, others more drastic) and from the feedback we have gotten, every one has rode really good and people were stoked on them. While most of them were great all around boards some worked better for certain types of riding, but aren't alot of full production boards that way? Also, can you honestly say that you've been completely happy with every big brand baord you have ever rode. Highly doubtful. We are mainly wanting to gear this towards skilled riders that know what they want in a board, kind of how a good surfer prefers a custom shape. Sure there is a possibilty there may be something you may not like about the board, but at least you will have more knowledge as to what is going on with your board and can have the design tweaked when and if you want a new one. Plus you have the pride in knowing the board was made just for you, which in itself can give you confidence and further lift your riding.

no thanks

there are enough boards out there to find the one for you....and how will someone know exactly what they need with out getting to test it out and make corrections. your saying you gotta buy a new one each time you want to tweak something.

I know that a custom board isn't for everyone nor will everyone think it is a good idea, but there are people out that who appreciate a custom made product. As with any facet of life, where there are production products there is always a need or want for custom products also. We haven't really seen this in wakeskating yet and are just wanting to do our part to help fill this void and cater to that sector. Like I stated before, we want to gear this toward skilled riders, riders that have probibly sampled alot of different boards and know what they like and don't like and what they want. For every aspect of the board, we give you a few different options(for example 8 different nose and tail widths, in 1/4" incriments) for you to choose from, and once everthing is put together, you get to see (in a CAD drawing) what your board will look like. As for rocker design, we will have our standardized rockers that you coose from( say a continuous, an 3 stage, and a 5 stage, with probibly two of each of thse to choose from) Yeah, it's alot of rocker presses to make, but when you love something you are willing to put in the extra work. And this isn't one of those thinking this will get us rich things. this is about a labor of love. Hope this better explains our philosophy a little better.

if you could do exactly what youre saying, then i think its a great idea. however, i think its going to take a lot of hard work, long hours, and lots of lost money not only in labor, but mistakes etc. i say good luck though, if you could do it and make it work how you say its going to, then thatd be awesome.

i take it this is a side project type thing?

for all of the work that is going to go into these decks you are going to have to sell TONS of them to make anything, do you have a place to work? how do you mold the decks? maybe if you could design a variable press or mold that woud save money. idk good idea but eveything has to be perfect
