I have finally decided to get a winch and would like to know more but the search button grows tiring quickly after receiving this message after every search " You cannot make a new search so soon after your last."
So do you guys think a new one will come out before next summer and be alot cheaper? Is the Grinch most people's favorite? Will I be able to deep water start with it? Do you have to attach them to the ball on your truck?

I hope they get cheaper.... $2000 is a hell of a lot for a lawn mower engine bolted to a few pieces of welded steel. (I realize there's more to it - but you get the idea)

Ten grand for a hive! i think ill put a down payment on my new double wide. no but my bro just got a grinch and that thing is pretty gnar.deep water starts are no problem and after a couple pulls you can get the speed pretty good. but after a couble days the break messed up so that sumthin we have to fix overall i think it is a great investment. and no i dont think that the price will go down by next summer because the demand is still far exceeding the supply.

I know I know....that is alot of dough. Check out the Pirate winch too. www.piratewinch.com
If the site is down, pm Frye to put it back online Smash The Pirate comes with some rope as well I do believe.

Try to find out who the reps are in your area for companies such as Accurate, Straight Line, Helium...companies that sell rope. You may be able to get some through a local rep in a long length like that.

Keep us posted!!

bigpimpinalberta....no sarcasm intended whatsoever. If (and that is a big IF) I had that kind of money, I would surely plunk down for the Hive. That thing is sweet. Cool

im hoping to have under 200 invested in mine, of course I already had the motor, but everything else needs to be bought or fabricated, but I thik I can get the welding done free. So, if youve got a engine laying around, you could get it done fore the price of a nice wakeskate.
