ok so heres our scenario(my an my friends). We ride in a no wake zone channel with jetski, the driver doesnt wear a lifejacket, and the life jackets we have arent coast guard approved, the wakeskater rides without life jacket, and the ones we have to ride in arent coast guard approved, and we are riding about like 15 yds away from both sides of land/docks or w/e. last summer we were only warned to stay away from the area and luckily the wakeskater and driver had our jackets on. could anybody help me figure out how many tickets it would be if lake patrol just was looking to rack up as many tickets possible on us, and maybe the cost for each ticket, or around the price of them/total, because we are reconsidering finding somewhere else to ride if they are capable of hittin us with like 3 or 4 tickets apiece at like $100-300 per ticket. the only thing is, is that this spot is glass no matter what, because its basically surrounded by land, minus the small channel to get into the cove.

put on jackets...its really not a hard concept to grasp, then just ride and if they tell you to leave just go...thats what i always do when im skating anywhere around town, cops show up i either run or stay and they just tell me to leave _________________ -Jordan Schwaller

| Quote: | uncomfortable but approved | unfortunately, i dont think those are approved for riding. they are a type 2 floatation devise, and you need to wear a type 3 legally. not 100% sure on the PFD types, but ive been told by a CG that its not an acceptable form of PFD. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

Just do what you do and when the Lake Patrol rolls up just be respectful and for the most part he/she wont give you a hard time. Thats always been my experience, but maybe Ive been lucky. _________________

hopefully its not at my lake. the rangers here are absolute cornholes, no warnings, no second chances, do not pass go, dont collect 2000 dollars, straight to jail.
then again they do have to deal with a ridiculous amount of drunk people. |

then another good point for tahiti!
Water patrol here can't do shizzle hahaha At the worse you end up in front of a judge, and they usually dont give a crap and let you go with a warning. They just waste 2h of your life....
And thats only if you rack up like 5-6 tickets at ounce. Like only the driver in the boat, no jacket on the rider or in the boat, the boat driver has no license for driving it and the boat isnt registered and you got no safety gear or whatever you need in the boat... that's what got me a *warning*
But seriously, wear a life jacket if the water isnt shallow... _________________
