New to the site and just wanted to say hi. My Husband wakeboards and i just started getting into wakeskating so he pointed me to this way.

I'm shooting a doc on wakeboarding/skating right now and i'm a photographer. Here's a couple of pics i've taken.

Cool Site!

Cheers

are you really a photographer? Those photos look like nothing more than point and shoots.

I'm not gonna lie and say there great, she will not get better this way. she posted photos I told her what I thought. Hopefully next time she will go out and shoot better photos would it help if I gave her a more in depth critique. I will ok the the first one way to close you have no sense of how high the rider is off the water you can't even see his whole body the rider is to soft and not sharp. 2nd one it's horrible he is not doing anything of substance and you can't even see his face. the 3rd one is the best but shot way to soon wait till he is up in the air or if you want to do one of him on the water have him doing a wake slash those can look cool with silohouttes. I would encourage you to visit wheelsandwax.com i'm a member over there. It is an action sports photography forum that everybody critiques photos. they can be just as negative as me if not more.

I am all about positive and negative feedback so long as the former precedes the latter.

Good job shooting at Dusk….with that said, the comments above all seem sound in my opinion.

fair enough, i know they could use work. I work for a real estate company shooting interior and exterior pictures of houses and do the graphic design. Actually i'm taking photography classes (well took this semester off) Not really familiar with shooting action sports. checked out the websites you guys posted, thanks. Most of my photography has been nature based up until now.

The doc is basically about our local wakeboarding community here in the dc area.

TTUFAN24, I don't really think that's true. A lot of people on here can appreciate good photography, no matter what the subject.

im with freerider4, I can get pretty harsh myself. i'm taking graphic design/photography at school and the crap i go threw with my teachers is unreal. I know its a big differance from here to school. But why not allow a lil critizism so she can take better pics for the future? I critique EVERYTHING now design wise, i can't shut my brain off, its sad really.
