i<3wksk8 is totally right. It's a good way to learn the rotations of all these tricks on a single deck with out trucks/wheels. It's like a scaled down wakeskate. Just remember it's a fs shuvit + kickflip, not some vertical half flip thing. Watch our video and look at how the board rotates on my hardyflip. Watch Ben Ray's new video too, he's got a big ass hardflip in there.

With that skate deck thing, it helps to have a riser of sorts underneath, so it's easier to ollie. my friend used cut down 2 by 4s (do it so it doesn't f your carpet up) and our board at the shop had these plastic things on it. But they're both right--I learned a number of flip tricks on those things. It will help with the motions (For the most part) but it's still different doing that stuff on a real skateboard or wakeskate (or what have you) But they're a freaking blast, so I recommend you make one anyway.

idk if that is what you all are kinda talking about but it seems like it would be a good practice tool

No, these weren't soft trucks--there weren't any trucks mounted on the deck. I personally wouldn't go with those things...they're pretty heavy and it seems like it would make things a lot more difficult (not to mention they're like 40.00 for a set). But, to each his own...

i have all those flip tricks on a skate deck with no leverage, jus a plain skate deck except heels. i can do hardys on the tramp with the wakeskate switch and regular but i wanted to know what u flick with. on the tramp i use my big toe to kinda flip it instead of my last 3 toes like on kickflips. is it the same flip as a kicky or is it different kinda like get the shuv about 90 popped nice and high and then flip it with my toe?
or it fully flips but i land way on the tail.
thats the problem i was having. just try and keep your shoulders over the board a little more, like try and pop the skate higher up underneath you instead of out in front of you. then just watch it till it comes around and make sure you spead your feet as you catch it.
