it is pretty much like getting up on a wakeboard

just remember to stay with your knees tucked in till you are on top of the water , then you stand up. People tend to try and stand up too fast

managing the board in the water will be a pain at first but you'll quickly figure it out. The boat keeps a small line tension and then you can put the board under your feet and it will stay there

The easiest way to do it, although will seem harder at first, is to float vertically in the water and stand on the board. Slowly lift your knees up closer to your chest making sure that the board moves up with you under your feet. Some boards are more bouyant than others and will rise faster. I've found that some wood boards are slower to rise up when you are lifting your knees. Your toes should be pointed at the boat, the same as with a wakeboard. Once the line gets tight and starts to drag you, tilt your toes and feet upward and the board will come out in front of you just like wakeboarding (the pressure from the boat moving keeps the board there). Then just get pulled up the same as wakeboarding.

Some find it easier to start by holding the handle with one hand, lay on your back with your knees tucked up to your chest, and hold the board to your feet with the other hand until the boat starts moving. This may be easier to start off, but the first way is much better and less stressful. Hope this helps.

I'm only a beginner as well, so if there are any corrections, please feel free to make them.

Well, I've never wakeboarded, although I wish That I had. My first attempt at wakeskating was on LIQUIDSTUNTS winch. I couldn't get up. Friday I tried behind this kids boat. I couldn't get up. Granted I only got like 4 tries. I need to get a day where I can have the time to try until I get it. I'm sure I will.

savagegarrick, i took the governor out of my winch... cause you were getting up just fine, but your too heavy for my winch... (should work now)

and that boat is a POS, has a hard time pulling me up, and i'm good at this. LOL, i think he needs to change his prop... no bottom end torque.

the boat we're takin today is much more powerful. tonight 6 pm

fletch, yeah bro, that's how i get up.... but be careful, your omen is MUCH less bouyant than any other wood board i've ridden. BUT IT'S SICK Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Well anyone trying to get up i highly recommend the underwater start. It was much easier. After struggling to get up on my back with inexperienced drivers (not trying to blame this on them i just suck but none of us on the boat new how to drive because are normal driver was out). I went to try underwater. The boat went and i just popped right out of the water and stood right up. It was so much easier and i got up every single time after that. Also I learned to pull someone decently along with the others on the boat so now we have many more drivers!
