I decided to make a new wakeskate today from my o5 Horrell Bi-Level Bottom. I had an Aaron Reed Bi-Level and a Thomas Horrell Bi-Level but there was a problem with my Horrell cause they sent me 41” top deck, so I decided to make the bottom into a new flat skate. Also I drilled new holes for the extra fins I had and set it up like the 4-trac. Hopefully it will be fun.

what is that in refferance to? cause I wanted the grip tape to have an off center line. But if your talking about the fin, then yeah its a little off but I dont think it will make to much of a diffrence, at least I hope. we will see.

Dered, why did they send you a 41 top for a horrel? if they did why idnt u send it back or call them instead of wasting a good bottom deck?

Actually, I first ordered a Horrell Bi-Level, But they sent me a 41" top deck, and obviously the holes did not line up so it could not be put together. So I called and they were all sold out of 40" Bi-levels so they sent me a 41" Reed, and let me keep the horrell bottom and then I had an extra reed top. I rode the reed all season and the top started to break down, so I switched the top decks so I have a fresh top deck on my Reed, which is my main skate. Then I used the other top deck that was starting to break down (it was not so so bad, but I wanted to switch is anyway) to make a "spin trainer" which was basically the top deck mounted to a rotating plate which was mounted to a base, and thus it let me practice spinning by tieing a rope and handle to my stairs and handle passing. So then I had a horrell bottom and some extra fins, so I decided to try and make a flat skate.

I hope that awnsers your question and in responce to ridehatzic I figured he was talking about the fin obviously, and actually I dont know what happened with that, but its also not as bad as the picture makes it seem...whateves.

nah...i was commenting on the fins. and yes, they can make a difference. will you notice it? maybe...but maybe not. a few years ago a friend of mine modded a parks board to have center fins. the first time he drilled the holes one fin was a bit crooked and he said he could notice the difference. so he got a new board and used HL's jig to drill the holes.

but thats a wakeboard, and there are a lot of differences between the two. who knows...

Yeah definattly, I can only hope for the best, and actually I dont know how I messed up, but oh well, if worst comes to worst and I can notice the diffrence a lot then I will just fill the holes and drill new ones, and hopefully that will help, but I am hoping for the best.
