|
|
Alright, i have been skateboarding for a good 4 years now and just starting wakeskating for the first time last season. I started out riding the cheapest skate i could find ( some flat Liquid force skate, it was blue and white on the bottom...) I try to wakeskate the same way that i skateboard, and it doesn't seem to work very well.
My questions are:
1. Is wakeskateing comepletely different from skateboarding?
and
2. Does a concave asymmetrical skate ride any different than a plain flat skate? |

yes to both, i as well am an avid skateboarder for about 4 years to, and now i just do it in the winter to keep me on point. i just started wakeskating last august, and im just now getting over skateboard physics vs wakeskate physics. it just takes practice, getting used to the difference between the two. And concaves are way better than flats. i bought a scape when i first started, and now i ride a karma and have like quadroupled the amount of tricks i can do. _________________ http://vergewakeskates.com/ |

| Ska_686, there are definitely people that have taken that same deck as you, and dominated it. Keep riding it until it breaks, then you can buy a newer/nicer deck. An asymmetcial concave will ride different, and you will probably prefer it in the end, but when you are just getting started a flat deck will do just fine. |

but i must say that the two sports helps eachother alot, so even if its alot different it will help you if you're a good skater. _________________ www.ilsh.se |
