OAK is sick, the decks are sealed with a high quality sealant, very thick I might add, I can tell its a high quality sealant cause most give wood a yellowish look. The paint is also of high quality and put on thick as well. The GeGe that I purchased practically begs to be abused. The Ride: totally killer, the smaller fins (.85 I think) hold good when cutting into the wake toeside or heelside, and still retain a loose feel when doin something in the flats. I really like the bottom, it has somewhat of a concave to break up the water on landings, I really like hittin double ups with it. Just a sick board all around.

I've been riding my Gege since like fall expo, riding it hard, and it still pretty solid. No stripping or delam whatsoever. What wood skate since the 2nd year cassette concaves doesn't delam or fall apart in any way? Don't get me wrong though its still wood, not diamonds. It wont last forever, thats right I said it, big whoop what to fight about it. P.S. I started riding my prodical more and its it a pretty good skate too.

yea the gege is baaddd... i like it alot, and it was definatly build to take a beeting. These last few weeks i have been riding the shizzle out off it. I have been jibbin as many docks as i could find and went to tsr a few times and just being doing some other shizzle that probly would have caused a gator to split a rail by now and besides some loss of paint there are no visible marks of anything wrong with the board...

Thats interesting as both of these concaves are apparently manufactured at the same place in....in Canada.

well i only went through 2 gators, and gave them half the abuse as i have been giving this oak, and both of the gators rail split in the exact same place. I havnt been riding the oak for that long, but its holding up, so we will see how it goes.
