ive done this badly 3 times since the begining of school.back ankle twice, front once. After the first time I started tying my shoes pretty tight. but then it happened to more times. Not only does it hurt like a bicth, but no skating of any kind for a week or so. Is there such thing of ankle exercises? or should a use an ankle brace for a while. They swell up to.

it can be bad for you ankles if you use braces for a long period of time though. they kind of become dependent on them.

maybe try some hi-topish shoes or maybe some mids. those should provide some better ankle support.

other than that, just work on landing i guess. cause that's so simple to do Smash

I've sprained/rolled both of my ankles twice. Having shoes with thick soles (air bubbles, gel pockets, extra padding, whatever) makes it easier to roll your ankle because they are sitting higher up and have more leverage to roll if you are weighted wrong.

both of those appear to have a thick sole, but its difficult to tell without seeing them in person or wearing them. An air cushion or whatever is a good indicator that its a fairly thick sole though.

you might look at the ipath reeds:

Or some of these lakai:

Carrol 4 Mids (There are of course other colors)

Like I said, its very hard to tell about how thick a sole is sometimes just from a picture. I'm not sure about either of these. But its somewhere to start.

Theres many others out there. Just keep trying until you find something you like or don't like. Then you'll know what to look for in the future.
