Last week i got my first sponsership, it was with a local clothing company, Stand UP Clothing ya i was reallly excited and i thought it was a great opportunity for me, luck had it and found out that someone was hating on me and talking SH*T about me, that person was Dustin, one of the owners of Stand UP Clothing, he calls me and starts talking sh*t about me and then tells me that im not worth his time anymore and hangs up on me...... Sad

i really cant tell what all happened, but sum up everything, he was on two different screen names on AIM, StandUPClothing, and Seek Skater88, and he pretended to be someone he wasnt on Seek Skater88, ya......and it all went down from there

too bad for him i have so many ideas and ppl that are gonna get back at him for me and mainly his life is gonna suck untill he remembers not to screw with someone like me.... Mad

anyone else have a similar story? if so sry about that

This isn't pertaining to this story, but why does a lot of people on this site want sponsors so bad? Some of ya'll hook up with companies that you don't particularly like, but just to have one.

nooo, this company i loved, turned out they are all dumbasses and i didnt know them too well Sad

and im not worried about a sponsership at all, they just asked me to ride for there compnay and i looked at the clothes and liked it and said sure

SkateForce, That wasn't directed at you, I just wanted to know. I brought it up because when people start doing that they get burned out on it. The same thing happened to me and I quit skating fo about six months before I started again, with my head cleared and not focused on sponsorship, but just to progress and have fun.

I dont ever plan on having a sponsership, there not important. I just love to ride, i dont want to feel pressured to ride.

yeah here snowboarding in michigan is a big popularity contest. a bunch of pro am wanna be's that know all the right people. like the rome comp, the kid who won rode for rome, and all his friends were on the judging panel. Rolling Eyes

it's like if someone steps up and throes down and isn't in the loop, ypu'r almost not even acknowledged , just kinda shunned off. chickity china the chinese chicken sponsorship, and ride what you want , even if you have to spend some cash. sorry for the lecture, but these type of topics really get to me.
