Jesse, Not all that exciting, it's much more fun with a short surfboard with the front foot maybe shaved down to a very round shape and made to about 4'6" long (I'll take pics tomorrow) and towing in on that... so much fun... and towing in on the skate and not letting go of the rope is also epic/the mecca... JOSH

PIRATE, Depends on the swell 
for example today I got some nice 14ft waves  Towed in by a ski that is, I can't paddle into big waves for shizzle 
The other day I got to ride 4-5ft waves on a perfect reef break, very very shallow like knee high but very sweet waves... I got towed in on the bi level without fins... Got ugly real fast 
Then we pulled out a kite surf wakeskate, it's much bigger / thicker than a wake skate. And we had a killer time, I even got a fiznackling barrel on a skate 
My friend tried the landlock on those waves and it sucked bad...
