headhuntermx4, there was a kid like that here that i rode with a couple times. hes like "i dont like nick because hes all cocky and thinks hes so good." i actually threw him off his own boat for making an ignorant statement about somebody hes never met, now everytime i see him all he wants to talk about is nick and integrity boards Laughing

I took it personally because you specifically called me out by saying that I didn't like what others had to say, so therefore, I locked the thread. That wasn't it at all. I'm not some powerhungry MOD that will lock threads based on a difference of opinion. And quite frankly, there have been other instances in which some people have expressed their disapproval and felt we let certain topics go on too long. In situations like this (especially when a single person's character is involved) I try to keep those sorts of things in mind.

Obviously, as moderators, we'll never EVER do our job correctly. There will be people like you saying that locking threads is censorship, while people like scott a. will say "we need to start doing our jobs" by locking/deleting pointless BS. Aye dios mio...

From reading Evan's scan in the other page, it is right in context and is quoted straight. I am actually really glad that he had the respect and integrity to put in that it was "good natured" and that it was necessary at the dock. Thanks to him for covering the event too, I can't wait to get the mag so I can read the rest of it.

Over this last weekend my entire life has been changed and all perspectives considered. I've seen more of life and the world in this last 3 days than I might have ever seen in my years here. I realize that this is just one of those things that are best left without being blown out of proportion. He didn't slander me or bad mouth me too bad. It wasn't enough of a negative comment to get upset over guys. Please let this one go and let me be glad I actually got in the mag again Laughing

The only thing that bothers me about all this is that the ATL guys think I'm some cocky ahole. Me and Nick Sharp and a few other guys were hanging out at the dock and I thought we were having a good time chillin, but I guess silent prejudice and negativity took the place of reason and they hated me before they got a chance to see what I was like. When I was being nice to them on the dock they saw it as sarcastic and hated me even more for it, and I don't see what I could have done to change that.

And from the looks of the posts in the other thread, they are just mad that I came to Atlanta in the first place. My friend Ben asked me if I wanted to go on a road trip and hit up some wakeskating on Lake Lanier (sp?) and do a contest up there. Should my first thought have been "No, I don't want to go because they will all get mad at me for being there"? I thought it would be awesome to meet some more wakeskaters from somewhere besides Bradenton, which has like 3 wakeskaters (2 that I converted from strapping and one that has a nice little slice of his own paradise on the river) and I wanted to get a chance to travel somewhere else for skating besides Orlando (which is actually such a sick place because there's literally hundreds of wakeskaters within a 40 mile radius)

Did I know there was gonna be money involved? No. Did I go to the contest to win? I thought it was gonna be a pro contest, so I was really trying to get myself some more experience competing with them before pro tour next year. If you are really that upset, come to Florida and I swear I will pull you all skating til you think it's been paid back...

I'm sorry for all the trouble this has caused and I hope no one thinks the worse of me because of it.

Jesse, its kinda like a normal surface spin, but its done when other boats are passing by so you look cool and with a facial expression like "im such a badass"

I have never hated you Nick, and really never thought the comment was cocky. A lot of us "the ATL guys" talk more shizzle than most people on here to each other, so shizzle talking is acceptable. My only argument was to own up to what you say. I really dont think that anyone in ATL hates you, as the argument in the locked topic was not between us and you, it was more us vs. Pirate, and some other guys. To which Pirate and I have both hugged and kissed on via PMing.
ohh, and PS, I was the one driving the seadoo, if you are so inclined to put faces to words.
