So I got bored this weekend and decided to do something with foot or so of snow in my back yard. Here's some picks of what I've got so far:

It's just a starter ramp and a kicker right now. Once we get some more snow I'll put a rail off to the right and maybe a quarter pipe or something between them. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet because I gotta let it sit so it'll harden up, plus it's kind of starting to melt.

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Or does anyone else have pic's of snowskate parks they made last year?

Zoso, that's a nice little hit you got their soldier. Maybe a long board from the lip of the ramp with a milk crate under the other end would make for a nice rail. You could session that for a while and hit different tricks n stuff. I want to get a snow skate this year, what kind do you have? I would like to get a plastic one but they seem kind of small. Last year I used an old wood concave wakeskate, but it was a little too slick with no channels or fins. I wonder if shank fins would work.

Anyway, have fun with it and add on to complete your park. Post a vid. Razz

Use rock salt to keep it around a while.

I have an old Premier Nico Droz pro model...I picked it up for like $25 last December from a local skate shop...the grip on the top was a little scratched so I got it for like 1/4th of the price. I like it, it's really durable (I've put it through hell lol) and all my other friends who snowskate Premier pretty much makes the best plastic skates. As for the length, it's a little small, but I like it like that so...

I wouldn't mind trying out a wood skate, as mine is a little slow, and I wouldn't mind trying something faster.

Anyways, I'd recommend any Premier snowskate if you're looking for a plastic one.

Ha! That's bad ass. We did that a couple years ago, but it was too steep for my snowskate, great for snowboarding though..

That's pretty sick man. I'd love to do somethin like that but our roof is a little too high for it...I might try makin somethin bigger out at my cabin when we go out for Christmas.

The one I have right now in the pics melted a little bit yesterday and froze last night so it's got a nice layer of ice on it. Unfortionatly it melted a little bit too much and I have to fill some stuff in before I can hit it.
