They don't call me JTwakeskater56 for nothing. I am 56. Started strappin in 01 or 02. Blew my right knee very badly at Odub in 04(april) rehabbed until June 05 My boy Nick skates & ithought it was fun. Pretty hardcore (pool gaps) attempted everything. Will never have any style but enjoy the skating ..and so far..pretty special group of people who do it. Tried a w2wkflip this weekend. Got off the entry wake & controlled enough to get the kick just kicked it down & only a half rotation. Probably have 5 solid hours of water time but am making more. Cool Mr T

Started skateboarding when I was 14 (the Powell/Peralta days), snowboarding when I was 22, and wakeboarding about 4 yrs ago. Just started wakeskating in May 2005 and havn't strapped since. I'm going to be 34 in December.

JTwakeskater56 you are Hardcore Twisted Evil I've been wakeskating 4 yrs and I wouldn't dream of attempting a w2w kickflip Embarassed Good to see I thought I was getting old at 38.Not that I feel old, you just start to wonder how many more years you have left in you of charging.

Lot's of years skating and surfing , 1 year strapping and of course endless years of snow skiing before I started wakeskating.

Tribal, JTwakeskater56

ok guys, I might as well jump in here. I am 36, started strappin 3 years ago and switched to wakeskate 2 years ago. Even managed to get 3 wakeskate podiums this year.

Did lots of years of skiing and snow boarding as well but nothing comes close to the feeling of wakeskating.

Heading down to OWC in a couple weeks to practice rails!

Deepcove good to hear you're still going hard,I retired the wakeskate this season about a month ago.Hope to get a little surf in on the next big swell but otherwise water sports are over untill next April.Oh well skiing and snowmobiling season are starting soon and it's still good mxing, lot's of traction with all the rain.

You put your boat away for the winter yet?

JTwakeskater56 I've seen guy's ripping surfboards and ski's in their 60's so why not wakeskating Wink

It's all a state of mind [as long as your injury list isn't to big]

tribal, Injury list(TLTC) to long to count. The way I usually put it is.." I've been beat up, blown up, shot, stabbed, pinched, bitten, kicked, scratched & made love to & I'm still cute. Ha ! Everything is true except the cuteness has faded. See ya on the water & maybe even the slopes. Laughing Mr T

My injury list isn't too long, the usual knee and a couple broken bones but I have a really bad shoulder that I've had a couple surgeries on that I really have to guard when I do sports.Alot of compensating and never really being able to push it the same.

Heli-skiing deep pow is really easy on the body I could do that till I'm 100 Very Happy

tribal

I went out last weekend. I don't really put my boat away for the winter, I keep it in an underground secured parking garage that does not get below freezing. Whenever we have a nice weekend I take it out.
