ok well now 3 more levee's broke so water is continuing to rise which realllyyy is very bad, the french quarter is starting to get 16 feet of water, and they had prison breaks and the prisoners took people hostage with homemade weapons.....

there is also terrible looting going on, im watching these crazy people loot wal greens and just looking strait into the camera and saying,"It's what i need to do to survive.", im like WTF

yeah well its bad, very bad, in one week they will let people with permission to go to their homes and salvage anything possible (cloths, valuable's, etc.) then you will be asked to not come back for a month

its just crazy, my city is like a cereal bowl, once the levee's break the wwater just flows into it and doesn
t come out, so its just sitting water, and it needs to be pumped out and the people working the pumps right now are evacuated.

yeah well im moving to virginia for about 1-3 months so anyody in virginia maybe we could do something. ill be driving there tomarrow

p.s. our governer said that the wreckage looks equivalent to the wreckage done by the tsuinami (sp?)

I feel really bad about everything happening to everyone involved, and you all have been in our prayers at school (7 periods of praying for yall)

BUT this is sort of a "the price you have to pay" situation, I mean your city is basically a bowl..and I DO NOT MEAN THIS IN A NEGATIVE/OFFENSIVE WAY AT ALL...just making a point

liquid, you and anyone else experiencing the issues from katrina have my prayers. my brother was just talking to my older sister on the phone about katrina (just for somethign to talk about because she just moved to issaquah) and he had mentioned some difficulties that i hadn't even heard of yet...

anyway, good luck with everything liquid. I hope everyone in your family stays safe and I hope that you all manage to work through all of this. I can only put myself in your shoes...this life altering storm is almost hard to fathom up here...

We spent the whole day helpin who we could, goin where we shouldn't and filmin the whole time. power's out there for a min. of 2-3 weeks.

this place is still so nuts dude, like liquid when u get back home hit me up cuz i wont be that far away, but theres so much help thats trying to be done, im stayin with a guy who is in charge of bringing the rock used in the levee repair and basically everywhere which is way more than anyone relizes, people are already trying to rebuild things even though they are still underwater and this guy has already used abou t2 million tons of rock in the support, Bush flew in to New Orleans today and shook some hands but no one really knos all that hes doing. and im staying with a guy whos on some emergency board or something and he got to fly over NO and he was amazed he said the pictures do not do this thing justice and he has seriously been seeing life differnetly now. not only that, when he came back and realized of all the looting and riots even in BR he got 3 ak-47s and 3 hk-45s (dont ask me how but he did) and he litterally got the last guns and maybe 10 mins later prisoners came to the store looking for more weapons. no one is really talking about the prisoners, i think no one is really supposed to know about it but the curfew has been changed to 8 now and i think that is kind of a hint.

oo yeah and gas is now over 3 $

ive been in louisiana for teh past 8 days, volunteering with the redcross. I decided to go on the 2nd, got trained on the 3rd, and was flow out at 2am on the 4th. 20 hrs of traveling starting in modesto, ca, i ended up in baton rouge, la. the next day i was orientated w.redcross and was sent out to work at a shelter in alexandrea, la. i would have loved to meet some of you guys who were from here, but all of my waking hours have been working at the shelter. didnt sleep much, but it feels good to do something to help out. ive seen some crazy stuff and heard a ton of stories direct from in person who were effected that will make you break down in tears. call up your local redcross chapter if you want to help out. they ship you out here, feed you, and give you a place to stay. 1,2, or 3 weeks at a time. I hear they need 40,000 more vounteers right now to relieve the volunteers who are going home now. i'm writing a journal, and I took a lot of pics if anyone is interested. this has been an experience of a lifetime for me.

Chris Barcellos, thats so awsome man, seriously waht your doing is so great. theres so many people dead or injured and without homes from this disaster. I never in my wildest drea would have though this would happen, life as i knew it is destroyed and will never be the same again.
