Just to let everyone hear from an unAMBUSHed opinion...Nick taylor did nothing to the ambush army besides take there $ back to the FLA...As for Nick Sharp you're just upset a ''12 year old girl and a kid with a pink board'' were the ones who showed you what real wakeskating is with style...As for the Comp...They AMBUSHED everyones wallets and gave away fake a$$ metals....WEAK...When the AMBUSH kids judge the AMBUSH kids guess who wins, learn to ride and you won't have to fix comps...better yet you AMBUSHers put on some fins start riding in other comps besides your own and stop talking $hit when you lose...BUYWAKE...No Skies, No Tubes, NO GOOD RIDERS!!!

I don't have an "ambush" opinion...I never even mentioned ambush in anything i said previously. What makes you think I am upset?
he won. he deserved it.
An ambush team rider didn't judge the wakeskating division, and an ambush team rider did not win any of the events of this past weekend. JD Webb, a PERFORMANCE rider, got 2nd in Pro-Wakeboard......
you need to get your facts straight before going and talking shi t.
all I did in this topic was to try and bring a different opinion. it wasnt even my opinion. its a discussion board. not jump on anyone else who has a difference of opinion....

I guess holding the some of the best grassroots and pro competitions and being the largest board shop in the south east and dealing with some of the friendliest people and having one the coolest am and pro team there is bringing something upon themselves...

TeamRider- clever use of the ambush name, but I say that Chris is a really talented wakeskater and he doesn't need to be bagged on. I'm "the guy with the pink board" (look for it in alliance  ) and I dont appreciate the way Nick's words were twisted and made up by someone who doesn't know him and is out to be negative. As far as judging the thing I noticed was the advanced wakeboarding division and how it seemed to be unfair... but thats another story. I also didn't appreciate the way the owner of Ambush wanted to shorten the runs by half after 2 guys had already went, because things were taking to long, that just doesn't make sense. it was kind of weird though how ambush didn't give prizes to anyone but first place and instead they SOLD raffle tickets (tickets weren't just given to riders) and raffled off all kinds of goodies that could have been used to reward riders with a podium finish, not just first place. The only reason cash was given to wakeskating was because the owner of a local marina gave it to ambush for prize money. Anyways being that I was the one talking to Nick I can personally verify both his words and more importantly his intent in saying them. Lets all just try to have fun wakeskating (until the next comp then we can just fistfight everything out instead of bitching on the net...just kidding) but seriously-- we could

I just read the thread & don't understand any of it except. If( big if ) anyone has negative things to say about Nick...just come & ride with him for a couple of days , you'll find out what a great person & yes I'll say it...superb skater...he is. Not as a doting father but as an objective observer. To all the rea friends as is evideced by the # of positive threads. Booyah!!!! We are grateful for you. Ya'll come on down & ride wid us..hear? Ambush actually gave product away to all the divisions, Pro and Adv all got stereo equipment for all the places and Pro got cash....Beginer and Intermidiate got ropes/hadles and vests. Wakeskate got cash. As for where is comes from....who cares...it's cash!!!
And if this contest was an INT event...I would have thought was judged unfairly.

Did you have a good time? I thought it was a great contest. As for advanced, I spoke with the judges before the results came out, and they told me that they put a rider with big stylish tricks over the guy who barely went wake to wake and sketched out some slightly more tech tricks. That was the entire point of the anti invert contest, to promote style over hucking crappy looking tricks. But enough about strapping.
Your "ollie the dog swimming in the water, striaight to shuv over drunk fat guy in the water," was sweet, and i thought it was cool for you guys to come all the way up to Atlanta for a contest. But dont bash Ambush, the run was originally supposed to be half as long, but that got mixed up. The first two riders off the dock were not challenging for the podium, so it really wouldnt matter. A shorter run would have rewarded consistency more...and i was all for it. You also got cash in hand for a podium finish, and that is the best prize of all.
You do realize that several people you have been talking too will determine what goes in the Alliance article....most particularly the guys from Ambush...so just as an FYI, I wouldnt speak to negatively about them if you intend to look for your pink board in an upcoming issue. |
