ok, so today was my first day back after my head injury 3 weeks ago and i landed all of my normal tricks. i've been wanting to try f/s bigspins for a while now and finally went for them today. i tried them in the flats, re-entry, on my toe edge, on my heel edge, inside out while at normal speed, and inside out when the boat was just getting on a plane while getting up...............i really wanted this trick today.......oh well......
so my questions are:
what is the easiest way to do it (inside out, flats, etc.)?
are there any special foot placements?
and does the fact that i ride a 116cm '03 Catalyst have anything to do with me not being able to spin the full f/s 3 shuv rotation? _________________ R.I.P. Jim Taylor

Flats. Either side will be fine.

I've been working on these also lately. I use to do them consistently... But I've been working on popping them high. I try the bounce method and it works pretty good. Kick the shat out of with your front foot and hold on with your opposite hand right when you try the trick. |

Theres mainly 2 ways poeple thow um... i have friends that do its switch to regular. They just pretty much stand on the nose, and do a on the water 180 but as they start to turn they just give the board an extra flick to get the full 3.
I do mine reg. to switch either in the flats or inside out... inside out is easier to throw and catch but the landing is really hard cause the drop. Just carve out like your going to do a big 180, but as you go to pop the 180, push you back foot around with a big flick to get the board spinning. and as the board comes around catch it with your feet and keep the rope in and ride away switch. |

Is this method frowned on? _________________

nah, i just dont like it so much cause you dont get any pop, and it just doesnt have the style as if you popped it big and spun it slow. |
