I was just wonderin about how many people here (like me) have never wakeboarded before, but wakeskate a lot. I also only tried skateboarding on my wal-mart deck to learn moves for wakeskating. Maby thats why its taking me a little more time to learn stuff Neutral

i used to wakeboard..because thats all there was to do. no one thought of actually being able to do any of the tricks people land regularly lately. i strap on a board once a month just to get my mind off of a frustrating trick. skateboard may?? help but its all about time on the water and board control

I think that when you start out a wakeboarding background will help more, since you will know how to handle the wake and the rope tension.

but when the time comes to do technical tricks, skateboarding is where it's at. I'm picking back up skating to improve my wakeskating actually Laughing

Nekkie, i concur 100%

i have no wakeboarding esperience and the hold dynamics of the handle passing and landing on ur edges and stuff like that are now starting to get me, but im learning that but i picked up wakeskating quickly from skimming and skating.

i got an 05 LF Fish at the begining of the summer and new Team bindings too cuz ive strapped fir 3 years, then i got a skate like less than a month ago and its more fun. I still slalom and foot but not too much wakeboarding and now i kinda regret spending a grand Canadian on a new board. Wakeskating is where its at though i used to skateboard and even had a little sponsor Revolution Skatepark theyd give me boards when mine broke and i could skate at the indoor park for free.

I went wakeboarding for the first time in about 4 our 5 months and I regained all respect for what can be done on a wakeboard. Over the 4 or 5months, I found out I lost 360's. It's crazy. I think I will be wakeboarding more often. Very Happy It feels really good though, landing. I dont know why, probly a feeling of accomplishment, because I fail at everything. Laughing

Wakeskating is still the shiot... more freedom
