Since I am one of the three people I know that wakeskate as much as possible, I was curious as to how you guys get out of the water. I know of two ways, the method I use is:

Hold the rope in my right hand and also hold the board with my palm
Start out as you would with a wakeboard and hold the board until rope is taunt. So pretty much I sart out in the wakeboarding position, but it seems hard.

I have to fight my way out of the water while being pulled behind a 50hp motor. It's been a while since I've been behind something big so I can't remember how easy it was to get up.

Sorry for the Entry Level question Razz

this is what i do....ok

1st: while the line is slightly slack put your feet on the board(its gonna feel un-natural because theres no slask and/or any way of the board holding against your feet, so just hold it with your hand untill taught

2nd: once taught and boat is coasting/neutral the board should be horazontal (long ways) and horizontal (width way) and sticking to your feet

3rd: once the board is to your feet and you have a good position with your hand get ready for the sudden jerk (if you have never wakeskated/skiid or anyhting before)

4th: tell the driver to hit it

any other questions hit me up with a pm

The best and easiest way is the deep water start. Push the board under water and stand on it. When you get balanced, draw your knees closer to your body. Bend your ankles slightly up at an angle and signal for the driver to pull the slack. When you feel balanced, tell the driver to hit it and you will pop right out of the water, and then turn and rip. IMO this is so much easier than fighting with the board in front of you. For me anyway, I've done both. Cool

Next time I go out I'll give the underwater start a try, I've been doing the horizontal one since day one and its a beach sometimes.

just practice stading on the board in the water. At first the board will pop out on the side and it will be a beach to keep under your feet. Try having your knees bent so that you are holding the board from poping up with your feet and your knee flexion.

at first you may have to put floaties on your board to make it stick to your feet more...
