Crew Challenge, Bala Ontario(Aug.6)

who is going to crew challenge this year? on stokecity.ca they have all the teams that are going to be there. 2 or 3 really good teams. the last 2 years my team has got second. going to be hard to do that again. there will be a beer tent for 500 people. tonight I'm going to help start building the rails. we have a 50 flat bed trailer that will have a pool on it with a rail going to the lake. should be fun. hope to see some people there.

is it just a rail contest ? or is it an overall riding contest ? i couldnt figure it out. Confused

andy ross, its not your traditional comp. Each team gets a certian amount of time (I forget from last year, maybe 20 or 30 mins?). It's pretty much just a free-run, the whole team takes turns and tries to get the best runs. Last year, guys were hitting the pool-car-gap at the same time 2 were being towed behind the boat. rails on either side of the course like last year probably. It's more of a fun, spectator friendly thing than a serious comp. I could walk to this event from my cottage, but I will be stuck at home I think!!!

No, getting a ride from Bala isn't a problem. I could walk from my place there. I'd need a ride up to Muskoka from the GTA...

andy ross, as I said - It's a fun event. Judges don't have stupid sheets the judge from, it's just overall how the team does I think. They are frantically writing down BIGSPIN, 120 POINTS! etc. The just decide overall, what team pulled the best stuff in their time. Don't make it more confusing than that

Directions - frawley, you know the road that goes from Gravenhurst to Bala? Continue straight down this road, past the town of Bala. You will also pass by Sun and Ski on your left. Bush's is like 2km past this, on the left hand side. Can't miss it... Ton's of banners and a Svfara in the parking lot.
