I really liked those graphics back in the flatdeck days. I've always liked the artistic direction Casette has gone in, but those decks were just so cool...

nice headhunter! Thanks for looking out for me. Rolling Eyes Very Happy

yeah, I saw those other boards and I just didn't want them becuase it looked like they were re-finished and totally tampered with. I'm picky, and it's basically a way to watch my money. If something's mint, I'm on it. At one point, i managed to find the first cassette series deck (the red one), still in the wrapper. So they're out there.

And that orange one is something else. I was definitely intrigued, but I don't really know if it's an authentic cassette, given the shape of the deck. I've seen that orange version (which isnt' common, from what I can tell), but never rounded. and her listing said that some boards were re-painted and whatever else. But it's still really interesting.

And el, I love those graphics too. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of mack in the future...

well i'll let ya'll know how they look. she told me that the manuf. of the boards for cassette had all these decks and it was going to cost more to sand them and repaint the new year of graphics on them so they just sold the lot of them and started w/ new boards..... she told me she'd pick the best of the bunch of each one and send... she also said she had one that was not listed that was like a blue 46 or 46.5 board... i was tempted... but i passed on that one. i wrote down the name of the manufactorer at the office, but don't have it here at home... i wonder if they produce the boards for kampus too?

Hmm, I don't remember that one. I thought at one point they were with mastercore (while with liquid). Anyway, thanks for posting that info. And if it's not a lot of trouble, I'd still like to see your decks.

What I want to know is how "Momma Z" was able to find all of these old school Cassettes' at such a great price. I think "Momma Z" has been garage salein' and Flea Marketin' a little too much. But props to her, those boards look rad!

so is it semi-concave like a swing? Or just rounded nose and tail?

itch, do you think that orange one is actually a swing with cassette graphics? That deck looks exactly like a swing...at first I thought someone chopped a standard deck, but I changed my mind once I saw a better pic.

And the timeline makes sense (with the manufacturer being before the LF deal) when you look at the details...

man, now i really can't wait to get them in... i'll take some pics and post them as soon as i can. i notice that they have a fin screw hole design just like kampus does, one center hole for the screw and two plugs that go into the deck to hold it in place.... was cassette doing that back then too or what???
i just got an email from her and the 41.5 that is yellow will be replace w/ one that is red.
