Well, i finally got to go on the lake. I couldn't start in deep water, (it f'ed up my fingers really bad), so i was just dock starting all day. It felt perfect. Not too hot - skateboarding, ATBing. Not too cold - snowboarding, snowskating. Not too easy - wakeboarding. BUT PERFECT. Sry if i sound sappy, but i cried because it felt so good. (<--that was a joke, just i case...) I was just doin ollies and stuff. I didn't want to try shuvits cuz it got real anoying goin back to the dock everytime. But i did learn to deep water start. It was hard but i finally did it right before we had to get off the lake. (i don't got it dialed yet, 2 or 3 trys and i am up).

To who ever created wakeskating, thank you. Very Happy

Glad you enjoyed yourself...but wakeskating is not a sport, it's a skill...and you can quote me on that

Its a skill huh.....no need to get a philosophical, its obviously a sport becasue there are competitions for it, people are getting paid money, sponsers, next thing is the xgames. Gimmie a break, doing all of the tricks takes skill and practice, but wakeskating in general is still a sport

i wouldnt really call it anything except one of the most fun things to do

when you say your fingers were hurting, did the handle keep pinching them between the board? that happened to me at first but now i ALWAYS deep water start and get up everytime.

this has to be the best feeling in the world:

i'm going wakeskating today after work then a girl i hooked up with last weekend wants round 2. wakeskating 6-830, round 2 @ 10pm.

urinal mint, ya, that is exactly what happened. It hurts like a beach, almost all of my knuckles were bleading.

NoPidy, when doing the underwater start, bend you knees and tilt back. make sure your board isn't anywhere near the surface/hands. have the driver to pull you up as fast as possible. it sounds like your board is more like Fg.1

your board needs to be slanted enough to go OVER the water instead of through the water. hope that makes some sense.

EXactly! When i was thinking about it afterwards i noticed that whenever i got up i shot out to the outside of the left wake. I will remember to do that. Thnx.

NoPidy, how far was the dock everytime you got back? i hope you learn the deepwater starts next time cuz dockstartin is cuttin a lot of yuo ridn time out.

change of plans...

going bowling with a girl that pulled me over on the road a few weeks ago. i kicked it with her last night until around 1am. after i go bowling with her around 7, i'm going to meet the other girl around 10pm for round 2. tomorrow me, my bro and about 6 friends are going up to the lake to camp all weekend. some females are coming up saturday and staying through sunday.
