Anyone have the July '05 WBM with Shaun Murray on the cover? Word is that Byerly was supposed to be on the cover wakeskating, but at the last minute, the publisher switched it to a stock "Shaun Murray riding a Roam" picture because they are a wakeboarding magazine, not a wakeskating magazine. Byerly is pissed. Anyone else hear of this through different channels?

Maybe somebody at WBM doesn't want that anymore...I heard this from someone in the industry, but it could still be false information

I thought that cover was kind of weird because that move by Murray on the roam is old news. Maybe its because he's back from his knee injury but I thought that picture was in a Hyperlite ad when the roam came out.
If they took Byerly off the cover that would indicate to me that an all wakeskate mag is in the works because they've never really been shy with skating before. Danny Hampson was on the cover only a few months ago. |
