i officially have my own desktop now. so, what should i do to it to make it good for video editing. its running on windows 98. should i just delete everything off of it except explorer? what should i use for an editing program? anyone have a legally bought version of something they would be willing to copy then send me? all i want to use it for is video editing and then burning those videos onto a dvd. i know i need to get a dvd burner, a firewire card, and a monitor.. any information would be greatly appreciated.
happy, URINAL MINT?? only joking. _________________ YSC is so steezy...

I wonder if Dave(owner) wants people asking/suggesting ideas about pirated software. you might want to edit that post a little.
Btw, go to dos and type format c:

Although nerds frown upon it, get windows XP. SImply because you can then get Adobe Premiere Pro. Which you can "buy" on the internet. I suggest you "buy" it from torrentspy.com . Thats pretty much all you need. If you've got editing skills, After Effects might be useful too. _________________ www.sattelyte.com

| windows xp may not be better for your desktop. if your computer doesnt have a fast enough processor or motherboard you may be hurting yourself. if premiere already turned off you computer it may be a speed thing or memory thing. if you have the chance get windows 2000. its the most reliable and youll be happy with it. and you may want to look on www.newegg.com for a burner and card. you will save a bunch of money and the shipping is either free or cheap and fast. |

dude, lol, i got everything you need. I could bring all my editing software when i meet up with you, i got like three. You could put your finished video on a regular cd then give it to me and i could burn you a dvd. And i got a firewire port (lol, i dunno how that will help you but i got one).
Well i typed all of that before i read the rest of the posts. But i now know you are getting all that crap. So, this post is actually really pointless. _________________
