I hate to say it again. But searching is your friend.

Boards aren't really based on skill level, I don't think. If you don't mind spending a lot of money on your first skate, you might wanna check out the Cassette booth and ask if they have second batch bi-levels. Bi-levels are 280, but they're awesome skates. If you want a cheaper alternative I'd say go with either of the Satellyte board (flat or concave) or Cassette 4 trac or Cassette flat deck.

Really it's best to try out boards for yourself. Because you may be different than everyone else.

Just a warning here - apparently the Bi-Levels at the Muskoka Store (only place I've heard of them being at in Ontario so far, and the first batch) are $550 CDN. May be slightly cheaper in other shops in Ontario if you can find it, but not much. I'd say pass on the bilevel. I will tell you, the Sattelyte skates I've seen are bombproof. I got to demo a flat skate which was beat to shizzle on some concrete urban something or other, and wasn't delamned or anything. Trust me when I say these skates will take a beating. It seems this cannot be said about a lot of other decks lately...

Check out the booths, get some info on the skates, and make your choice. Everyone on here are biased anyway.

yep!

That 2004 team deck has been a dreamboat. I call him George. I rode him two weeks ago at the Kansas City cable park. He is heavy but strong as hell. Hard Rock Canadian Maple......

On a more important note, "nothing good ever comes out of canada eh??!!"

I can't really comment. I just moved to the deep south. But, as a small country, we got skillz
