i dunno, ive heard that if u dont know what ur doin u shouldnt do it. try and find someone thats done it b4 cuz i was askin my friend abot that one time and hes like its rweally hard cuz if u have a computer chip in ur hand and ur othr hand isnt touchin something, static electrcity can eff it up. somethin like that anyways. _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

one-eyed sailor551,
Learn it well and use your new skill to make some money. Computer repairs is an easy side job for someone your age.
Here is a good step by step guide:
http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/
Here are some nice barebones kits:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=31
It is not difficult. If you don't want to spend the money on a brand new barebones kit, you can easily find used parts on Ebay or at some local computer stores. |

Dave Barousse, daves got some new pointers up there and when your ready to buy stuff i would suggest www.newegg.com. look at what people say and somewhat try to keep the same things together. ex. buy a nvidia graphics and motherboard, they seem to run better (asus). and then an amd, cause amds and nvids run great as well. and when you buying the mother board make sure it has everything you need, like a firewire port and mem ports cause theres no way to upgrade that. and then buy the most ram in the world cause that makes more of a difference than a couple megahertz of speed.

one-eyed sailor551, like hyperlite640 said, static electricity can chickity china the chinese chicken up your computer hardware. If you do build your own computer makesure you get an anti-static-electricity-bracelet. _________________
