Winching With Byerly and DanielsAfter one of the several hurricanes that hit Central Florida in 2004, local wakeskaters found a flooded area behind a grocery store and decided to take advantage of the new waterfront real estate.
While taking turns pulling each other behind their pickup truck, Scott Byerly and George Daniels rolled up with a winch. The winch was set in place and a shopping cart was put in the middle of the flooded area, as an obstacle, while all of them sessioned the area on their skates.
Only in Orland can two local guys be joined by seasoned pros in such a non-traditional wakeskate setting. And still, the idea of wakeskating any place that you can find enough water is simply amazing.
