Byerly Toe Jam Friday Event Update

Date: 04-20-2012

20 of the world’s top wakeskaters killed it today behind the Byerly Icon Edition Nautique in the Boat event at the Rockstar Byerly Toe Jam, kicking off The Wakeskate Tour for 2013 at The Projects outside Orlando, Florida.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Byerly Toe Jam is based on progression and today was no exception. With the highest level of wake riding ever seen, the head-to-head final consisted of George Daniels and Andrew Fortenberry. George put together the best run of his life in the semis and stamped it with a wake-to-wake kickflip – the first one ever seen in a contest. Andrew also threw down and the highly anticipated finals results will be announced on Saturday.

With 58 riders registered for the Toe Jam, the field has shown its strength in the Gap practice rounds. Towed by the System 2.0, this course is the proving ground and Saturday’s action will be a must-see.

Scott Byerly and The Wakeskate Tour would like to thank Rockstar Energy Drink, Nautiques O'Neill, Zeal, The Wake Park Project and The Projects
