DVS Shoes Introduces The Sandbar Series

If you've been paying any attention on the forums, you've hopefully gotten a sneak peek at the DVS shoe company's upcoming wake offerings. Jim Leatherman developed the new line and it's called the Sandbar series, (which may or may not be inspired by trips to Lake Havasu). The Sandbar Series includes three wake specific shoes: a new Obscura collabo produced in the Convict shoe model, which looks to have a lot of new tech and a dope floaty keychain, and two versions of the classic Munition CT.

The Sandbar series is also a lifestyle line, and includes two full mesh versions of the classic Rico CT silhouette, one flip flop, and a tank top available in two colorways. (There's also a Brew belt for the waker who simply can't be bothered to get up for another "man soda.") The mesh Rico CTs weren't designed with any wake specific features, and are better suited for hanging out on the beach with your brew belt and tank top. Leatherman said: "You can hang out in Palm Springs or the Keys with those. They just breath really nice."

So it looks like DVS will have you covered from head to toe in 2011. It's fantastic to see companies like DVS expand their line and include a great wake offering. DVS will kick off the Sandbar line at the upcoming Surf Expo. After that, keep an eye out for the line next year.

DVS Shoes and Obscura wakeskates have teamed up to give you the newest innovations in aquatic technology. Obscura owners Aaron Reed and Danny Hampson have been paving the way for the wakeskate sport for a generation. The DVS Convict model offers a non water-absorbent waxed canvas outer, mixed with a breathable mesh side panel to keep the shoe light and dry for maximized shredding. The shoe is also lined with lycra to give it that nice feel on your bare feets. Plus you get a real nice floatable keychain for the messy times on the lake.
