The final Pro Tour stop of the year kicked off on Friday in Reno, Nevada. It would end up being a day of surprises, as two of the overall top three wakeskaters would not make it to the next round (Reed Hansen and George Daniels, respectively). And with only 19 points separating that top three, qualifying with the eye of the tiger was crucial if the taste of sweet success was on their minds, and the the sweetest victory was in their hearts. 'Cause you know that this is serious business.

In heat one, last year's Pro Tour champion Brandon Thomas won his heat. David Hanson took second place, allowing him to ride in tomorrow's semifinal heat.

Heat two's winners consisted of consistent placer and tour young gun Ben Kaiser, and Eric Buonanotte.

Heat three saw Brian Grubb take first place, and OG wakeskater Drew McGuckin took second place, allowing him to kill it another day. It is worthy of note that Brian is currently in second place in the over all standings, keeping him well in contention for another tour crown.

Finally, moving on from heat four were riders Ryan Doyle and Stuart Shinn.

The semifinals are slated to take place on Saturday, and the head to head finals will take place on Sunday. So if you're down, stay tuned to see what's up.
