Seeing as I'm from the great white north and there's a long winter ahead I decided the other day to try the wakeskate in the snow.I figured it would be good for practising shuv-it's and stuff.Well the shuv-its were easy but turning on hard snow wasn't,not a whole lot of control. Then I saw my barbecue bench and had an idea Very Happy Not bad for an old dawg I figure I haven't hit a rail[other than on skis] like this for over ten years when I used to skateboard lot's[never had a chance to try waking none around me]View these pics in reverse order Rolling Eyes

my friends and i would do that in the ice and pull each other w/ our cars, but sometimes there would be patches of asfault so my skate got tore up, but it was fun.

also we got a metal bench and did shuv-its and stuff off. and i landed a 360 shuv-it off. i can't wait for it to snow again so we can get back out on the ice/snow!

also we would go down a big hill, but the back of the wakeskate would always want to turn, how do i keep that from happening? once i got speed it wasn't bad, but at first when i was building up the speen it kept wanting to do like a backside 180.

If you have an old skate deck with no trucks, there's your snowskate!! We do it whenever it snow on a big hill at the cable park here in england. and 'cause it's at the cable parc, we always use the old rails and make some new ones aswell, it's sweeet!! and when it's not snowing, do hill surfing!! same thing but on mud and you need a steep ass hill. We did it yesterday and took a cammera. I'll try to load some pics soon!

Tyler yeah I have a snowskate coming from e bay that will be fun.The skate is my old beater one it was waterlogged anyway so I don't really give a s#$% about it.Good thing it takes a beating hitting little rocks and such.
David yeah it's definatly a challenge to track straight with no channels or anything.I don't seem to have a prob with it turning backside I would think your putting to much pressure on your rear toe.I usually just go straight ,throw it into toeside and heelside slides sometimes full 3's than straighten it out.Good board control practise. The hardest thing is trying to carve a turn. The snow's to shallow to hold an edge in my yard so I took it up higher to deeper snow the other day.The prob is finding the right depth with the right pitch.Had a tendency to plow alot.Think I'll take it out next time I go sled skiing and try it on a real slope.Just hope I don't lose it cause when that thing starts sliding on it's own it's gone.
