this may be a long read but do yourself a favor and read it anyways.....
#1
if i remember right LF was started by people who love wakeboarding. most of the same people still do all the work day to day, make decisions for the company, board design, etc. the fact that some dude invests in them makes LF lame? sorry but if you think this your retarded. in fact, you should thank this guy for keeping such a rad company in business. wether or not you like there boards, it gives you another option!

maybe some of you are to young, smoked yourselfs stupid, or just forgot but there wouldn't be a cassette without LF. where do you think cassette got the advertising money from? how did they get into pretty much every shop in the nation and eventually around the world practically overnite? you want to know? well it's because LF put the money into cassette and COMNBINED they brought cassette up to where they're at. here's something else to think about. from the start until the end of the '03 season cassette's were probably the best made skates i have ever seen. i've seen these boards thrashed over and over and last for years. since 04, when LF and cassette split ways, as much as i hate to say this....cassette has been crap quality. both years = either no releases or recalls. cassette + LF = better than cassette by itself.

for anyone to say they've lost total respect for reed....your a douchebag. i don't care if you heard him say something or not. that's irrelevant. maybe his outlook on things have changed. maybe he's tired of being broke (ig he is). a very select few on this board actually KNOW the guy (not me). how can you judge him? it's probably a good assumption to think he hasn't been getting paid (echos of wake tech?) with cassette's s past two years. if i was reed i would do the same thing. it's one thing to be core and it's another to a professional rider. |

i dont think anyone has been talking smack about LF since the year when cassette branched off. the people that are still talking sht are pretty clueless and it wouldnt be worth your time to try and convince them otherwise. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

For the sport he is in, Reed is in the prime earning years of his career. Soon he will be one of the elder statesmen, like Byerly. No 2004 product, poor quality on the 2005 product, a lame booth at the expo. I do not blame Reed. If I thought the engineering company I worked for was about to take a big steamy dump while owing me money, I would cut out too.
You younger folks will understand this someday even if you don't want to. |
