plywood(diy wakeskate)

I was wondering what i should use for wood to make my wakeskate, I have the mould done, the glue is on the way, so all i need is wood and was told to use doorskins, is this good

I think the thinest best thing you will find is 1/8 inch russian birtch plywood. When I made my skates i searched around for a while and thats the best i could find. What are you using to press the skate when its in the mold? ex. Clamps, press?

I used 2 plys of 1/8 pine on my two homemade skates...worked really well.

ive made many skates out of that stuff. The russian commie stuff that is. if your not buying it in bulk it is def the best way to go. check out these pics of some of the finished stuff. we've got a new press for 06 and are making some cool new stuff.
We switched to dif wood a while ago but that stuff works great for small quanities.
