Whats the deal with companies coming out with handles that have no flotation in them, i think thats retarded. Unless theres some obvious reason im missing..... i know hype makes them this year. I know on handles that the flotation has fallen off, they get caught on the botom sometimes.

integrity640, does it really matter? Ive never had a problem with it sinking to the bottom... on my LF handle I cut the foam floatation off right away... I always pull the line in to get the handle once the boat comes around....

i got the accurate ruck handle, and just love the simplicity of it. no floats and no t-bars, just simply refined. my handle has a bigger sized handle on it so the handle still floats. it's the simplicity but functionality of it.

i ripped the floatation off my handle (but not on purpose). but my a-line rope floats somewhat. and floation doesnt matter most the time, as long as you keep some tension on the line.

that foam was originally intended to help protect a wetsuit when you went for wrapped spins--at least to my understanding. It makes sense becuse on this stupid, cheapie waterski rope my dad bought, there weren't any "floats", only sweet, sweet stretchy rope that deteriorated in the sun.

So seriously, unless you're trying to do some really sweet backside surface 1080s with a nose grabx3 (three times, beyotches), you should be alright.

Actually, floatless handles are for people who don't let go.

electricsnow, Take it easy on your dad. Nick has used that funky tied together 12 times crap trap rope so long. I thought ( a while ago) I'll go to Sport's authority & buy a good ski rope( he;ll love that). It's still in the package & you've seen the shizzle about him & his ratty rope. Hey ya want a new ski rope ? Bang Head Mr T

the 05 murray handle is soooo nice, i got it last year, its got really tiny floats on it and it has like a hard plastic covering over the rope instead of that clear bendy stuff, really nice for handle passes. i love it. only handle Ive ever had that floated.

yeah, thriftyness is just "my dad." I'll tell you how valuable that rope was--he actually used it to tie together a fish crib for the lake association. So it's been submerged into the murky, brown depths of my lake up north.

And for the record, when I started to ride, I bought my OWN ropes. Very Happy (all I read was "non stretch this" and "non stretch that".) Oh, flipping a, you know i had one of those straight line handles with the 360 braid and tractor grip, and you know I tried my A off to get the "acid rain" color. And in the true spirit of "celebrity worship" when I couldn't get the ever popular "acid rain", I most definitely chose a color that scott byerly used...
