Yo jesse, I think you can probably get brochores from Hypoxic and Neverride. Not to mention in the film Silly, there are a few winch sections. Good luck!

Tell him they are designed for hitting gaps, ponds, and fountains not accessible to jet skis. They allow you to ride in ANY body of water that you can imagine yourself riding in. Take him to a local winch spot and show him that you coud session it all day long with ease and without needing a boat or jet ski of any kind...

Nick Taylor, its funny, cause there is a winchable pond-to-pond land gap in his dad's back yard. you could literally set the winch in his yard hit this. bad thing is, its a golf course. though i dont think that will stop us Twisted Evil

dpcfilms.com : Pleasanton rail Pond, probably one of the best pure winch videos done
wakeupfilms.com : Neoteric, all winching video
norcalwake.com has a few winch threads with lots of pics
Also, I beleive there is a "gone winchin' " video somewhere on here, very early winch stuff but shows unusual spots.

These should get your point across.

Gotta love them winches......... Very Happy

show him the video from the brodeo, and get at adam about ordering a grinch when ur ready adam@distortionboarding.com
we are getting the final frames in as we speak, one piece steel with laser cut logos on em, smoothest start up of any winch, comes with 300ft of rope i believe and its all one piece rope.
u may think im impartial but here is a fact, my buddy has a blackbox, that thing is so massive i couldnt imaging having it stick out of the back of a normal truck, the spool that holds the rope was made out of plastic, he is buying a spool from us to fix that problem, doesnt come with a brake, luckily for him he is good at building stuff cause he made a nice brake but it invovled welding. the level of construction on those things is just not up to par imo

Iamjesse, i bought the GRINCH about a month or so ago. only winch worth buying. the quality of the parts are exceptional, and the frame is super sturdy. the GRINCH has a brake, and uses this roller system that the rope gos through. adam at distortion is a SUPER nice guy. always reachable by cell phone, and totally knowledgeable abot his device. he told me if i had anything go wrong with mine, he would send me any replacement parts. go with the GRINCH, no doubt. and tell you'r dad you can winch for two weeks without refilling the gas tank! alot cheaper than fillin yer boat up. Wink
