if the widescreen is the only added feature compared to the regulars, id go with the regular. $100+ isnt worth a widescreen. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |

David Legler, canon is the right way to go with canon, if ur lookin for sort of low end, regular quality that you mihgt get from vids on this site, go with the zr series, if ur lookin for a broadcast quality camera, go with the canon gl series.
if ur a sony guy, find something hi def, but all this depends on what kinda quality u want in ur footage. |

Well it's a helluva lot cheaper than a vx2100. If you actually want a good camera which you are going to make quality videos with, cheap handheld sony's suck. I hate mine. (DCR-22 or something from last year). Investing in a good camera is a good idea. Unlike cheaper ones, they are still worth quite a bit used a few years later so you can get a lot of money for it if you ever want to trade in for a new one, or decide you don't need it anymore _________________ www.sattelyte.com

You guys are telling him to buy into the HDV Crap? it's a joke. If you want a quality camera then save up proper money and buy a quality cam. You like Sony....Why? That's alright if you like them, I'm just wondering where the motivation is. Also, widescreen can be achieved in Post.
What you should provide us with is:
what are you using it for?
will you edit your own material?
what will you edit with?
what is the final output of these videos?
Then we can better steer you in a correct direction.
Also-This is probably not the best forum to get camera buying tips on..... _________________ Wakeboarding for Life!!! |
