okay so my second day ever wakeskating was pretty rad, i learned switch riding, front lips, and front lips to fakie. But im having trouble with mybackside lipslides, the way ive been trying it is by breaking the fin, letting go with my right hand (i ride regular) and holding out my left hand so the board swings behind me. My problem is that i cant stay on the wake or balance well at all should I be standing straight up, crouched, or bent knees? Is this just something thats gonna take a while? |

good point, one question though... if the water gets in the empty screw holes wont it wreck the wood? _________________

It shouldn't but you could fill it up with epoxy or silicon to fix it if you wanted to be sure. |

colclough999, the backlip is similar to fs boardslides (sliding backwards) besides the fact that you have to kick your backfoot (tail of your board) over the lip. Once there, try to stay balanced, knees slightly bent, straight over the lip with equal weight over nose/tail. I find it easier to look at the boat once there. Don't try to lean against the rope. When you get them consistent, mix it up with bs 90 shuvs out or fs 270 ollie out. Go with the flow and let the force be with you master Jedi.....
(I learned it with fins, you just have to kick it a little bit harder than without.) _________________ _____________________________
