Nothing gets you stoked about wakeskating more than wakeskating. I finally got my ollie down pretty good because one of my friends FINALLY figured out that he should stop wasting the summer and his new boat and that he should get out on the lake. It is kick ass cuz he wakeboards all day so when i come over all he does is drive and he lets me skate basically the whole time. AND another friend got his own video camera so now we can get footage on the lake. AND I AM THIS CLOSE
(start) --| (this is how close i am) |-- (finish)
TO LANDING A SHUV BEhind the boat. I almost landed it my first try and i was like "WTF! KICK ASS!". And i tried maby 8 more times and landed on it every time but it kept sliding out. Wakeskating rules!!!!!!! wakeskating is the best thing that happened to me since blow up dolls.

I rode yesterday for the first time in over a month and I rode best than Ihave ever before.
I stuck some big w2w behind a loaded super air landed a few shuvs and my first bigspin ever. I threw the handle and quit after that so i would not ruin the moment.

shuvs are weird, like i landed the first one i ever tried so then i was like wow that was easy but then i went like 1 week and a half probably about 30 tries until i landed my second. now that ive been skating for like a month and a half i land 9 outa 10 and the best advice i found on this site for makin em consistent is to actually pop the board underneath you and make sure ur spinning under ur feet not hucking it to the side or something. hope it helps _________________ "My dad is not gunna believe a giant talking bowl of fruit punch busted down our wall"-Dane Cook on the koolaid man

fall on your back? u throw the board too much in front when you pop it
fall over the nose? u throw the board too much back when you pop it
yeah, it's that easy lol
Good luck on getting your tricks consistent, that's the beach in skating hehe
I'm glad you can ride more now Nopidy!! that's less fingerwakeskating ^^
and grouch, gratz on the biggie _________________

I stopped trying shuvs because one of my buddies said my tail was hitting the water after about 45 degrees. So i practiced getting my ollies higher. I think it'll happen next time out. _________________

found my problem out yesterday. i'm spinning it WAY to hard. got to get used to just barely flicking it.
rode a LF armada 41 yesterday w/ foam. i love how floaty it feels under the water and the fins were great but that's it. nice board though. |

| NoPidy, Nice job taking a step back. Not enough people do that, they just try the next big thing without a solid background. |

Slyder, thnx. Some of my friends are starting to skateboard and they always try popshuvits before learning how to ollie and it anoys the crap out of me. So i figured i probly shouldn't be a hypocrit.
I am annoyed though that i couldn't land it. At first when i started riding behind the boat i was scared to go fast but the more i rode i learned that the faster you go the more pop you get. I didn't know that water could hurt so bad. _________________

| Yeah, it can hurt sometimes. You don't necessarily get more pop the faster you go though. Just find a speed that is fast enough that you don't sink when you push the board into the water. |

concerning speed I think that 20 mph is really a minimum, maybe 19... Under that and you loose a lot of pop... _________________
