Hey i just started to wakeskate. When you guys started did your board feel like it is really slippery on the water like you have no control of it? Is that what it feels like and you have to get used to it or is there sumtin wrong with my board. ALso is it easy to get used 2?

WaKeSkAtA66, In 2 years you will land something that no one had ever done, but you will have no proof and only a few people will believe you.

Try riding with some fins

When I started on my homemade board with only 1 tiny fin on it in that back (which did nothing at all), I was all over the place. I would just be cutting out, then just bail for no reason. It's kind of weird, but you'll get used to it. I've got an awesome vid of my first ride, and just falling off my skate right on my face for no reason. Maybe I'll post it...

yeah, at first these things feel totally loose, especially if you come from something that has real control (skiing, wakeboarding with big fins, etc). Soon you will find the best part of wakeskating is the loose free feel.

IndySkate, true thatZoSo, post that sh*t homey

WaKeSkAtA66, Is it easy to get used to? Well let's just say it's not easy getting used to not being able to do it. Especially when it's nice out and you have nothing else to do.

Alright, here it is...the fall I was talking about is the very first clip...after that, there's just random clips of me falling...and I threw in a pretty nice tubing bail at the end. Oh yeah, I know the camera work sucks, but since either me or my friend has to drive while the other rides, we have to rely on our little siblings to film and spot...

I'm not that extreme of a tuber...well maybe, I'm a little more nuts than my friends are (I'm the one screaming faster when whoever is next to me is screaming slow down...or the one who has to sit it out in the single tube and get tanked by the double, or even the triple.)...but it's more of a pastime for me...something to do when it's too rough to wakeskate.

And that's probably the closest I've come to a shuv on video...I've had closer attempts that weren't filmed. But last summer was my first time wakeskating and I only got out for maybe 20 pulls (over which half were in crap conditions) over the entire summer b/c the weather was so crappy. Our summer was actually rated one of the worst in the world last year...even Siberia had a higher average temp and less rain/snow Crazy Eyes .
