Anyone driven or ridden behind the sea-doo rxt or gtx limited? The thing boasts 215 hp, which to me seems a bit asinine for a pwc. I know it's a 4 stroke so It probably has a little less top end than two stroke counterparts, but I'm curious on how much different it could be than the WAKE edition with 155 hp.

Any help with this topic would be appreciated.

i have a sea doo gtx supercharged which is 185 hp and it has the exact same feel as my friends wake edition but i can pull doubles better and pull a tube and skate at the same time better, if 30 hp makes that big of a difference, i'd say another 30 would be bada$$. oh and make sure you get the pole b/c it helps a whole lot too for start ups and riding. btw there is a good inside out, good enough for nick to hardflip off of at least...but what do i know anyways

i have a gtx wake edition and i love it. It takes people out of hte water like nothing and 155 hp is enough. Every pwc is capped at 70 mph so 215 is kinda rediculous. Crazy Eyes

i have a wake board editon and an rxp the rxp is so fast (it goes from 0 -60 fastre than a nissan 350z) u dont even realize how fast you pull the rider out of the water it kinda hurts ur hands some time , the wake behind it is diffrent than the wakeboard edition but i still like riding behind the wake board edition best and you get wet when u turn on the rxp so that kinda sucks

my turbo sucks for pulling people out of the water. no top end. i have ridden the rxp, its really quick. my aquatrax cant keep up but it doesn't beat me really bad. and not all pwcs are capped at 70, there are yamaha's modded to do around 84, several sea doo xp's that do 73 without a sweat. im as much into pwc'ing as i am into wakeskating

i cant get my sea doo wake edition above 63mph...but anyways

ive seen a guy on my lake with the 215hp sea doo, the 2 seater one, and he can punch holes in the water like no other, he literally can jump the whole pwc out of the water by punching the throttle, looks nuts, and he blew my doors off when i tried to keep up with him. but i like what i have still.

it will ride like most any 2/3 person PWC - smaller soft wake and great for wakeskating. It will just pull you up as fast as you want to. These new high end PWC are just insane. Sea-doo has that 215HP and Honda has a high power turbo unit. How fast are these things? 65+?

I have a 16 foot seadoo boat with a 240 HP V6 and it is scary fast.

seven11dmd, you should see my polaris 1050 in action. it's 5 years old but easily gets up to 60mph, 60+ on smooth water. throws a good 60 ft. rooster tail with the trim up:) when you put the trim all the way down and turn it real hard then get on the gas you can submarine it completely under water and drive around with nothing but your head poking out of the water Very Happy

i hear more fiznackling stories about how fast people went on "seadoo's" most of it is b.s. there are very few 78 mph boats, and if they are you gotta have skill to ride it and get it going that fast. good try though. my HONDA TURBO does 59.3 mph on gps, the spedo reads like ~65-66

yeah, I can assure you that a stock PWC are not breaking 70MPH, even these new high HP turbo or supercharged models. It is just very very hard to get a boat to go that fast and the truth is that if you were on a PWC doing nearly 80 and you fell off it could kill you.
That is not to say these are not silly fast - they are. anything around 60 is screaming fast on water.

i no i was freakin scared because i had fallen of my polaris at fifty so i looked down and wus like sh*t. i may not have broken 70 but those are some powerful things. what makes them feel ultra fast is their acceleration IMO.
